Parlour LAB 20 - Art, Activism, Architecture

You can watch the twentieth Parlour LAB here!

Sue Gallagher and Tania Davidge invite us to use art and creativity for self reflection - to understand our personal responsibilities as citizens and professionals - and engagement - to find ways of facilitating conversations and participation in city making.

For Sue, drawing and making offer an opportunity to take time to reflect. Exhibiting her work then provides an opportunity to learn through engagement and understand how audiences respond, including what are the most minimal interventions that may evoke encounter at the scale of the body, building, street, and city.

For Tania, art is a creative medium through which to joyfully engage with different audiences of architecture. When people have more opportunity to learn and engage with architecture, they are invited to participate in city shaping, which gets better with more diverse voices involved.
